f.a. cup: arsenal eliminato dallo stoke city!

E' stata un'eliminazione decisamente dolorosa, quella dell'Arsenal in F.A. Cup, nonostante la consueta formazione infarcita di giovanotti e riserve. Al Britannia Stadium di Stoke-On-Trent, infatti, i Gunners hanno pagato innanzitutto la maggiore fisicità e grinta dei padroni di casa allenati da Tony Pulis, perdendo il match addirittura per 3-1, sotto i colpi di Ricardo Fuller (autore di una doppietta: qui, nella foto, la sua esultanza) e Dean Whitehead. Inutile il gol del momentaneo pareggio, siglato da Denilson. Adesso, Champions League a parte (dove ci sono squadre più attrezzate), per gli uomini di Arsène Wenger diventa quasi un obbligo puntare sul campionato, per non finire l'ennesima stagione con le pive nel sacco.
